Webcomics mania

Hey guys! How is it going? I had a new obsession lately: making web comics. In my mission to sharpen my storytelling skills and also to improve my line and color work, I've started making my own web comics. It started as an exercise but the more I did them the more I got taste for it .Mostly these are short, funny ( I hope) and (I hope) relatable stories. It is a good exercise for my storytelling skills, but these also help me exit my tunnel vision sometimes. See this as a laughing therapy. Hope you guys enjoy them: ( also my "inktober 2017" commission  will be coming soon) .
If you have not done it yet follow me on social media on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/artworkanimation/ and @Zulfugart on Twitter, to see more web comics and some of my other work! Hope you guys enjoy them:

Webcomic

Yes I've finally did it! I made my own webcomic! Which is a another milestone for me!!
So it's been a while since my last entry. Keeping a blog is harder than it looks. 2016 has been a kind of weird year for me if you will and I needed some time to find the right words. I guess "weird" is definitely one of them.  For those who don't know I've opened an online shop, where you can buy products with my designs on them. Just go to: https://shop.spreadshirt.nl/zulfugar/?locale=nl_NL

I also coached a few groups of  Multimedia and Design students here in Groningen, giving them some pointers on freelancing (or at least the advises which I've got). Some of my work even got published in Photoshop Magazine, which is always awesome and a few of my strips made it to the news sites.

However there comes a time in artist's life when I guess a kind of anxiety takes over and you lose your momentum. Being a "green" freelancer artist is very demanding. There are a lot of talented people out there sometimes it's just hard to keep up! So I've started practicing a lot on my anatomy lately and I mean really a lot. I've received three anatomy books which I study daily. And practice. You'll see one  of the examples here:

But the other thing I'm most proud is my webcomic. So first of all, it was meant as an experiment to see if I can actually  tell a simple, silly, funny story without any text and just by pictures, It initially started as a storyboard for an animation. However animating this would take a lot of time, which I simply did not have, so I turned it into a webcomic with some simplistic design.( or a storyboard if you will) I think it suits the theme and the comedic nature. This is not meant to be best comic ever or something like that. It just a try-out, so don't expect a DC or a Marvel quality pages here. I just wanted to do a fun little side project. Anyone who knows me also knows I love comic books and those superheroes movies and series. And no,  it's not based on any personal experiences ( okay maybe only a little). So without further due! Enjoy. (Also let me know if you liked it ( for my intial, kind of comic) and if I should continue, make more of these.
